Need help in choosing a large pump

I'm upgrading from an 220 to a 430 gal long tall tank and need advice on a pump.
I currently use a blueline 70 for my return pump and would like to continue using it.
The 430 tank came with bulkhead fittings for a closed loop system. Total off 4 fitting, two suction two return, all in 1 1/4". The returns were split up inside the tank to two 3/4" nozzles each.

What size pump do you guys recommend for the closed loop system and where to buy it.

Btw the tank is 8ft long, 2ft deep, 4ft tall

Thank in advance

430 gallons, congrats:beer: On a tank that tall and long, I would be inclined to use larger returns instead of those puny 3/4" ones that most 75 gallon aquariums use. Maybe Y off those 1 1/4" returns so you have four of them. I would look at a pump capable of 5000-6000 gallons per hour, perhaps a Hammerhead. You will probably need to add powerbeads of some kind to the tank as well because you are going to have a lot of dead spots down low.

Thanks for the info so far. As for the return from the sump, I plan on using my blueline 70. I believe anything larger would not allow sufficient filtering through the sump..I was told, the water through the sump should not be too fast.
As for the closed loop, I guess I have to go with something like the hammerhead or the ,dolphin. Even though the dolphin is a little pricey.

I will have the return for the closed loop on at least 4 different spots in the tank to try to keep the dead spots to a minimum.

Any further advice on where to buy a pump or what else I should do, would be greatly appreciated.

I like the Tunze Silence PRO, Draws less power and doesn't have seals. If you go reeflo I'd look into their gold line. For each 1 1/4 return I'd add 4 of the 3/4" outputs to maximize your water flow.
