Need help levelling stand ...

I have a new tank and new stand. When I checked the stand for level on a flat surface ... it was bang on.

The basement floor however is another story.

I water tested the tank tonight ... and I have just shy of a 1/2" of variance from one side to the other (55" length)

What are the best ways to go about shimming?

I can't shim from both sides because the aquarium stand bottom has a sheet of plywood over it.

If I were to cut a 4" wide piece of oak, to the exact thickness of variation and put it underneath the support on the low side ... how much spacing would I need between the other shims.

I've included some photos of the stand to give you an idea of what I'm dealing with and why this is posing issues.

Also, the floor is carpet.

Dam up the back of the stand and use self leveling concrete. Once cured you should have a perfectly level surface to place the tank.

The load is only supported at the four corners. Use standard shims (composite are better than wood, but either works) under the low corners until it's level. Forget about the plywood underneath the stand or the rails along the bottom, they're not support.
