Need help (noisy skimmer)

Hey Guys. hope everyone is doing great and enjoying this wonderful hobby. Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

Here is my dilema. I have a Euro reef rc-135 that is actually suppose to be pretty quite but the vibration against the glass bottom is creating quite and uncomfortable hum especially at night. I have mine sitting directly in the sump/refugium bottom. I would really appreciate any suggestions on how I can lessen the vibration/hum and would really appreciate illustrations if possible.

Thanks again.

I went to linens and things and got a clear pvc sink protector...

I cut it to fit under my euro-reef rs80 and it silenced the skimmer completely.

I know exactly what you are going through.. The hummm is unbearable.

Another option many people have used is a silicone pot pad. Like something to put hot pots on the counter top with...

Does that make sense??

Do you mean the ones that cover the sink it self or the bottom seal? Any ways thank you for the suggestion I will look into it.

ya its the thing that lays in the inside of the sink... for example it will protect a glass if you drop it in the sink...

i just cut it to fit in my sump under my skimmer.
