so I don't have a drilled tank and I need to connect my sump so I'm about to order a HoB overflow 2 choice that I see is the

1. Esh Overflow Box To 125g Sngl

2. CPR CS50 Overflow Box

I just am not sure on the 1 first one the tube makes me nervous so some any1 has used these products a little info on the would be sweet thanks

In general both are just fine..
Make sure that if you get the CPR that you get the aqualifter or run the airline to a venturi on a powerhead.. With a larger weir like that air can get stuck in the top of it and cause problems/loss of siphon,etc..
With the eshopps thats "usually" not an issue as flow through the pipe is enough to pull them right out.

Personally I'd NEVER run a HOB overflow though.. I have in the past and it worried the heck out of me each nite.. Either drill or go sumpless is the only thing I will ever do.

I have a CPR CS100 overflow, like mcgyvr said above you need a aqualifter to keep air from building up and have a float switch on your return pump to prevent flooding. Also the bulk head is in metric which made it difficult to hook up a pvc pipe. Over all though I am happy with the overflow its well built and easy to adjust.

I've used both boxes in the past and I prefer the eShopps design because the CPR is almost impossible to get clean (not that it is needed often). I never had a functional problem with either however. A "gurgle buster" will help quiet things down.
