no. just takes time. they need to grow and establish who will be the female. if they are both little juv's, just wait it out.

do you plan on moving them to a bigger tank? 10 is quite small

Yeah I talked to the local marine petstore and they said it should be fine as long as you just have them in the tank. They have a set up with the same thing and the fish are 6 years old. But one is juv and the other is Alittle bigger. If you look at the picture you can see the sizes.

10g is more than enough for occy clowns. If you want the other to color up to a brighter orange than feed them Cyclopeze. Or foods with astaxathin. It will make them more orange.

+1 ^^

I feed a lot of cyclopeeze and my fish are pretty bright orange now.

My true perc when I got her

Again, LTA should not be in a 10 gal tank. Go with a hostable coral if you really want to have them in a 10 gal. A 10 is plenty of room for just a pair of clowns, but nems need much more space. LTA can get over a foot.

Color (as far as I know) has nothing to do with pairing. They need to establish which will be female, and she will be bigger. Give it time, it doesn't happen fast.

I took the lta out my 10gal is way to small I'm getting a bta tomorrow

BTA are the same deal. They require min 30 gal tanks, grow up to 12 in. Trust me, I have done my research, you can NOT put ANY nem in a 10 gal tank! Go with a coral, like the torch, long tentacle plate, frogspawn, etc. Long tentacle plate coral looks just like a nem, but its a coral.

OMG no way for a carpet... lol they get up to (and over) 18 in. Their min tank is 100 gal. We're actually getting ready to rehome ours, since we didn't know they got that big. We have a 55, and he's outgrowing it; a carpet would take up pretty near a whole 10 gal tank. Take a look at the link I posted in your other thread. The long tentacle plate coral really looks like a nem. You could probably even fool those who don't know better into thinking it IS a nem.

sure, waiting on photbucket to upload my pics now. I actually just took pics of some at my LFS to send home via text when deciding on what coral to bring home today lol...

yes; clowns will go in nems and any coral they are able to. It's never a guarantee though, I've known some clowns use a power head as a host even when there are corals and nems available in the tank.
