I have a eurobraced 120 w/ one 6x6 corner overflow. It only has one 2 1/2" hole in the bottom and its tempered so I can't drill another for the return. Any recomendations or pics would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jason

Is it a 2 1/2" hole or a 2 1/2" bulkhead?

If it is a 2 1/2" hole what bulkhead are you planning on using?

What are you superintendent of? School district?

Its a 2 1/2" hole. Have not decided on anything as of yet. I want to get input from more experienced reefers as this will be my first time plumbing my own tank. I'm actually a superintendent for a commercial general contractor.

Problem is that I don't know of any bulkheads that fit a 2 1/2" hole. Who built the tank? You might call them and see what they recommend.

Once you get a bulkhead in the hole. Then your best bet is a Durso standpipe.

Durso Web Site

The only thing with a durso is that you can't have it at full flow or it gets loud.

Can you get a picture of the hole and overflow?

Plus, you probably wouldn't want to max the flow on that drain anyways. That would be a lot of water flowing through your sump. Also, with no second hole (which I always recommend making your backup drain, not return) you wouldn't want a slight clog to cause your tank to overflow (I assume a complete clog is unlikely in that diameter hole). Make up the rest of your tank flow with powerheads, tunze, closed loop, whatever you like.

I dont like the look of powerheads in the tank otherwise that would be the easy fix. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
