need help quickly

Peeling would be uronema marinum or brook.

but the timeline does not make sense, also it is more like a crack in the skin and it happened after the formalin dip, should it not slow it down and get better after the dip?

is there a chance this is bacterial?

You simply have too much going on. If the source of the fish runs copper, that is one very large variable. Two fish together is another variable. I just cannot sort it all out. But I suppose it could be bacterial. You will find out rather soon, I suspect.

thank you for the info Steve, i will start furan2 kana & metro in a 10gallon tank with the hippo

i get worried when you say i simply have to much going on. i am always reading your recommendation and trying to do the best recommended qt protocol, actually you are the reason i started TT. Am i doing something wrong in your point of view? you see the luck i have

its hard to keep going when i keep failing at this every time

The only obvious thing I see is that you go too quickly. Buy one fish. Make it work. Wait a while. Insure your tank is stable. Decide on the next fish. If you buy from a LFS that runs copper, you must: Do tank transfer, Observe for a minimum of six weeks including tank transfer, then put the fish in the display tank. Never buy more than one fish at a time.

ok this makes perfect sense, you are absolutely right

again thank you for you help, and i ALWAYS appreciate the criticism, i am here to learn!

And I apologize for getting frustrated. Diagnosing remotely is not all that easy and induces stress (in me, not the fish) when there are too many variables. Almost always, it is the subtle nuances that are key to getting it right and finding out those nuances is more complex when all the information is not initially presented. While a picture can be useful, rarely is it totally definitive. Behavior is by far a bigger predictor and total history of the fish is critical.

You have nothing to apologize about, i know it is very frustrating to diagnose remotely and already you help so much with the limited information you have! i have so much to learn, its just sad that our fish pay for our mistakes!

hopefully the trio of meds will do something, metro being key

there is too much death&disease in my qt tanks

1 fish at a time as you said.
