I upgraded my lighting from compact fluorescents to LEDs today. With the LEDs I have the moonlight and dawn/dusk settings, and with each of these the blue LEDs just make the corals and tank look awesome. Naturally since this tank is my baby, my first instinct was to break out the camera and try to take a pic....unfortunately while the corals are fluorescing beautifully in person this is not coming through in pictures. In the pictures the fluorescence is significantly less apparent with some corals or just looks completely washed out with others.
I played around with the settings on the camera, adjusting the white balance and increasing the iso (I also have no idea what this means, my roommate told me this is what she did though).
Does anyone know how to get the picture without losing the fluorescence?
I'm sure I've seen beautiful LED pics with a similar effect as I'm seeing on my tank....there must be a way!
Thanks in advance!
