Need help, whole tank has ich!

My ich remedy is to get a few small cleaner shrimps, keep water quality good, and let nature take its course. I have not lost a fish to ich this way, and they will build a tolerance to it. Even my recent new tangs showed a slight case of ich, but it cleared within 3 days. I don't think me having a refugium has much to do with it, but when a fish of mine gets ich, I seem them visiting the cleaners more.

Yes, I know I need to QT. I just really don't have the proper setup to do it...

And unfortunately cleaners are not an option in my tank. They would just be a nice snack for my puffers and trigger!

the bacteria wont' stay alive during hypo, neither will ANY of the inverts.......do a search.

Wrong on the bacteria. Bacteria most definitely will stay alive during a hypo treatment. I've hypo'd for over a month in a tank with LR and never got an ammonia/nitrite/nitrate spike. I've done it 2-3 times.

Re: the live rock, it depends on what PuffersKick wants the LR for. If the expectation is to have all sorts of goodies living in/on the rock, then don't hypo. If the rock is simply to grow some coralline on and act as a bacterial home, then I would hypo. Depends what is desired.
