Hi all,
I have a 56g column tank - 30"x 18" x 24", and I was really hoping to put 2 centropyge in it. It has plenty of overhangs and hiding spaces.
The species I am hoping for the most: C. aurantia, C. colini, C. deborae, and P. multifasciata.
I'm wondering if anyone can suggest more favorable combinations if they have experience with any of the above. Or if the tank is simply too small to house 2 species. Please also let me know if the tank is 2 small to house 2 individuals of the same species.
thx and happy new year.

How much experience do you have with Centropyge/Paracentropyge species? The C. aurantia, C. colini, and P. multifasciata are all difficult to get acclimated to captivity. I haven't had good luck with C. deborae either, I'm not sure if I trust that the specimen I got was collected properly.

Honestly I wouldn't put two Centropyge together in a tank with that small of a footprint. Just not enough rock to give each of them a territory or if both didn't eat prepared foods, not enough rock to graze.

Looking at your list I would agree with the previous poster. Those are some difficult fish even if you have some experience with Centropyge angels. If I were to mix 2 Centropyge in a tank that small I'd probably pick C. potteri, and C. nox. Out of the 4 dwarf angels in my tank they seem the least quarrelsome.

I only have experience with the golden angel, which I kept successfully for a couple of years until my tank crashed following a move. I figured the tank might be two small for two. thank you for your help.
