Need help with Foscam F18910W

Not exactly a Neptune issue as I don't have the updated firmware yet, but I did get the camera for that.

I can't seem to access the camera from outside my network on my computer at work.
I can get to the control screen on my Droid using http://xx.xx.xxx.xxx:8090, but video never loads.
I can access the Apex without a problem on port 80 from work computer.

I have read every post I can find regarding possible issues, but can't figure it out.

I have the camera set on port 8090 on both the router and the camera.
Internet Explorer "cannot display the webpage"
Google Chroome "could not connect to ....."

It may not work at your office because they don't have port 8090 open.

Your Droid can access that local IP address but that address is going to try and open the Foscam app on the camera (not the video stream) which the Droid can't do. If you access that same IP address from your home PC, do you get the Foscam app, can you login and view 'Live Video'? You probably will never be able to access the streaming video from your Droid without some sort of Android app anyway.

You can access the Apex from port 80 at work because everybody allows port 80 (that's also why we change it!).

Have you configured your router to allow port forwarding so that inbound traffic for port 8090 gets routed to your camera's IP address?

I have checked the port from work with an port checker from a website and it reports it to be open.

I am accessing the WAN IP address using the Droid. You are right. It does not stream the video, but does access the app. Downloading an Android app to check on video stream.

Yes, I have the port forwarding for the LAN IP address of the camera both to and from set to 8090.

Downloaded Droid App and video streaming works fine using WAN IP address and port 8090.

Why won't work on external desktop?

Are you certain your Droid is coming in via your external WAN address? Turn off wi-fi on the Droid and try it just using cellular.

BTW, I see you're in Columbus - I'm heading that way Saturday to spend some time with my daughter and grandchildren in Lagrange.

Yes Wifi is off.

My sister-in-law is here visiting from Baton Rouge, and we are headed to New Orleans this weekend. Grew up in NO, and went to graduate school at LSU. I am huge Tiger fan, but it is the Auburn one.
