Need help with fraging a frag...

Hello I've been burned with dino's 2 times now, which ended up leading to me tearing down those 2 tanks right when they were starting to take off because u couldn't beat the dino's. So now I'm going to do a coral/invert quarantine process.
Long story short any new coral I get, i want to put it in a new frag plug and then quarantine it. I'm going to be getting a weeping willow coral from liveaquaria. It was pretty easy to put my torch and frogspawn on new frag plugs but I haven't done a leather before...so do I just cut at the part of its stock closest to the frag plug and then loosely rubber band it to a new frag plug?

The coral will be here Saturday, anyone that could help me with this I would appreciate it greatly!!! Just have zero experience with fraging leather corals.

Yeah, just cut the coral as close to the base as you can and secure it to the plug with a rubber band or some super glue gel. Personally I would try the super glue gel first. This way you can mount the coral vertically as opposed to horizontally. If it holds cool, if not try the rubber band. GL.
