Need help with grass like algae.

I have a couple of spots in my tank we're algae like this

is growing can you guys help me. Could i get a cuc for that or even a fish.

Since its in your sand bed just scoop it out. I would turn off all the flow before you do it so it doesn't go flying around the tank.

Instead of adding a fish what nutrient export methods do you use?

10% water change ever two week with a refugium half the size of the tank.

Algae should go away with time if tank is new, else, lesser feeding regime, you have macro algae in refugium?

My tank is a 1.5 year old but i just introduced a fish and some shrimp two weeks ago. I hadn't have other habitants for the last 4 months. I only feed flakes thought. The fuge is filled with cheato. Which I trim per 2 months.

Can try with lesser feeding and lesser white light for a couple of weeks to see if they reduce? Algae means definitely extra nutrients in water column on which they are feeding on.

Buy a lawnmower blenny.
