Have 2 frags of acro that I can't ID. Color is a brownish green, but have been shifting more towards green under their new lighting (vs. the lighting in the previous owners tank). Polyp extension isnt that great, but this is normal according to the previous owner. Growth is slow.

OOOOO whats that green thin branching one thats growing like a weed....sorry i coulnt help myself....lol i think it might also be a A. tenuis but its very hard to say at that size but it looks like it will be a nice looking coral when it gets all grown up...

Also up your snail and hermit population keep your nitrate and phosphate's zero raise your KH and lessen the amount of light that gets to the tank to no more than 8 hours a day and you should see a decline in that thin branching green stuff. :)

lol the tank is only 2 months old.....no3 is at .o2 ppm's according to salifert, and po4 is at .03 (leaching from substrate, should be declining, i was too excited to wait for my ro/di, so i filled the tank with tap water). All water added to the tank now has 0 no3 and 0 po4. Alk in the tank is around 4 meq/l.

the algae problem is actually on the mend, there was too much of it for the snails and hermits to deal with a week ago, so i pulled a bunch out by hand, and now they seem to be making a dent in the remaining bit.
