I now have 3 of these in my tank...started off w/ 2 about a year and a half ago. It is a neutral tan color and about the size of a dime. Any input appreciated!
We either need a MUCH!!! better description, or a picture. Picture would be best. Obviously they are growing/splitting/expanding their colony, whatever it is.
I will try for another pic. I had just a couple aptasia and the peppermint shrimp made fast work of them! This does have a little tint of green, doesn't move around the tank. Does retract when touched...has 3 or 4 rows at the "skirt" as opposed to my zoa's. The "skirt" tips are at times a little bulbous.
Still don't have a better picture but am moving a rock to another tank that has one on it. If it is majano I am wondering- why they haven't multiplied, gotten bigger or moved to any othewr locations in the tank. I will truly appreciate any further input!
I agree. If confirmed a Majano, remove the entire rock and get radical. Use a propane torch if you have to - burn the damn thing off completely. Show no mercy.
Before committing the execution, though, let's get a picture under normal lighting - you said it was green. It might also be a volunteer polyp, which is a good thing to have.
