need help with lighting

i need help lighting my 220g. the tank is 72x24x30. i have a 5 foot fixture with 2x250 halides and 2 5 foot vhos. will this be enough for a sps tank? i also have an extra 250 watt retro that i use to have over my 29g. i was also thimk of taking the fixture apart and geting individual reflectors, that way ill be running 3 bulbs. and since i need to get a new ballast for the vhos, ill run 6 foot ones instead. which would be my better option? thanks
