Hi everyone,

so I got this SPS ( I presume) yesterday. Dont really know what it is? So it would be great to get an ID so that I can research a bit on it... If you have any tips for me for this coral just let me know!
Its currently placed at mid height of a 4.5' x 2' x 2' DT, its under 6x54w T5's and its getting a moderate water flow...

The tank only has one frogspawn (2heads), a small seriatopora coral and some pulsating xenia.

Thanks For the HElp! :)

Looks like some sort of stag but a bit small to really tell . with t-5's I would keep it up near the top and see how it does, btw think about the level of light it has been in and use that as a guage to start from and just go slow as far as moving it around too much . Also if a stag they like a good amount of random flow not direct blast. Just my opinion hope it helps

OF course it helps! Thanks!
The coral used to be placed at the bottom of a 2' tank also with T5's but it it was under 6x80w bulbs so maybe its getting the same amount of light?
As you said Grant the coral is getting some moderate turbulent indirect flow, I thought it would be best for it but I dont really know?
Is there anything else I should be watching for?

Thanks for the post!

keep an eye on those damaged areas and if it starts to spread down the coral nip it off just below to stop any necrosis , but only if it starts to spread

Ok ill keep an eye on it! Its more like a red-pink, would like to say red but it's not a really strong red so kind of pink. My lights are just really blue and the pic was taken at dawn with only 1 Fiji purple and 1 true acnitic bulb on. So maybe that's why you can't really see the color.

Thanks for the post Grant, I appreciate it I'm pretty new to SPS so any help is good!

:)
