Another claim of them 'over-running everything' without a pic. Why are people so afraid of these? If it weren't these, it'd be algae.

Sure, some people might find them pretty, but others do not.
OP asked how to get rid of them. Not if they looked good in his tank or not.

And I gave several suggestions as to their control as well as my personal experiences with them. Not sure what your point is...
Those super-infestations look friggin' sweet. I would love to pull that off...
I can only imagine that the addition of one or two 'grazing' fish would prevent their recruitment to every available spot like that...an urchin, hermits, snails; really anything that picks at the rocks.
