Need help with pH

Hey guys I was testing my water parameters this morning and I noticed that my pH was a little to high, or so thats what the test kit said. I believe it was somewhere around 1.022. What is the ideal pH supposed to be at and if mine is to high, how can I bring it down? Just water changes or should I add more RO/DI water?

ok I'm confused, ph and 1.022? What is the ph of your tank, 1.022 looks like a salinity reading to me not ph.

like i said i know that my salinity is 1.022 but my pH is high but I don't have a test kit that gives me the actual number. how can I bring the pH down...also by bringing it down will it harm any of my animals in the tank?

It will absolutely harm animals in the tank, it's called ph shock. What is you definition of high and if you can not test it how do you know it's high? I have seen reef systems running with a salinity reading of 8.3 and as high as 8.5.....

Not trying to beat you up here just trying to help and need more info in order to do that. Reef/marine systems ph is normally high.
