Hey all im setting up an overflow and was curious. Can i use regular rubber tubing or is there something spacific thats necessary. Its for my 30 and id be running it from the overflow to sump and back up. Also can anyone recommend and pump to use from my sump to tank. Not sure how much flow i should have.

How big is your sump? What type of an overflow and how many gallons can it handle? that will determine what size pump to get.........and yes regular tubing should be fine. Just for example a regular single tube LifeReef or Amiricle hang on box over flow with 1" tubing can handle aprox. 600-800 gals per hour depending on the return pump......IMO go with an external pump(if your sump is drilled) rather than a sump model because of the heat issues with smaller volumns of water.
