Need help with purchase

Hi all!

I was wondering if someone from the Chicago area can help me out. I need someone to purchase something for me from the Mount Prospect, IL Costco and ship it to me to CA. (I tried contacting all the Costco stores in my area - none in stock. I even tried to get the Mt. Prospect Costco to ship it to me with no luck.) I will PayPal the cost of the item (+ tax and shipping) + a free frag next time you visit California .

It's actually a German knife set that my fiance has been going gaga over - Wusthof brand - and it's on sale. She (and my son) will be moving to southern California so she can start Pharmacy school this fall and I wanted to surprise her and show my appreciation for all her hard work by getting her a set. I think I talked to every manager there (Mt. Prospect store) trying to convince them to send me one and they refused to ship. :rolleye1:

Wusthof knifes are sold else were. Linens N Things sells them, price matches and has locations near you.

True, Linens and Things and Bed Bath & Beyond do carry the knives, but they do not sell the block sets at their retail stores. Believe me, I've tried. Besides, getting a pricematch to Costco (wholesale/membership warehouse) is iffy... to a Costco in IL is even more iffy... to a Costco in IL with no "printed ad with sale price" to show them is even worse... even if they did stock it, I'm not too sure they're willing to let go of a $400 (retail) set for half the price.

I'll definitely compensate for gas and all the trouble. Let me know if anyone can help me out.

if you can paypal me first i can do that. the bloomingdale, il costco is close to me and i have a membership.

if you call the bloomingdale costco to see if they have it, paypal me the money, i can go to costco tonight for you, and if we can get it done early enough i can ship it to you tonight as well.

Thanks mbierzyc! I called the bloomingdale store and they don't have it in stock there.

Let me know if you'll be able to stop by the Mt. Prospect store and we can work out the details...

Jonovan02, I'm close to the Bedford Park Store in Ill...around Cicero and State Road ...check there, if they have it I'll do it for you...let me know how you want to ship if they have it. I'm close to Fed ex and UPS...

Just an idea, if they won't ship to you direct, will they ship it to the Costo near you and hold it for pick up. I've had them do that for me...if they give you a problem call the customer service at the corporate office...make sure you're a member...they are always very nice, especially if you explain your special circumstances.
