Alright so i just got my tlf phosban 150 reactor. I will be putting the seachem matrix carbon in it. I have a few questions.

1. how much carbon do i put in the reactor it doesnt say on the container my tank is a 55 gallon with about 15 gallons in the sump.

2. How much flow do i want going through the reactor i am using a maxijet 600

3. do i let the carbon sit on the bottom foam sponge and just leave the top foam sponge at the top of the reactor?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Anyone using this matrix carbon that knows how much i should use? the bottle it came in doesnt tell how much i should use.

There isn't a hard rule on this, you use as much as you need. Ambiguous yes but the rate that the carbon will become useless depends really on the amount of stuff in the water you want to remove. In my opinion, fill it up half way and push as much water through it as you can. Keep the sponges in place just like using GFO. When the water starts to show signs of no longer being treated by the carbon (depending on why you are adding carbon in the first place) then it is time to change it.
