I have a Fo system with 2 tangs, 1foxface and a clown trigger and a niger trigger.

I always feed my meat eaters first so they are not as hungry but I cant keep them off of the nori!!!

This is really bothering me because I have to feed SOOOOOOOOO much in order for my tangs to be feed well.

Is there a way of detering the triggers from the nori?

Why not just make the bulk of the foods your offering algae based. Eight out of ten foods can be green, the other two can be red. I Don't think the carnivores will mind.

The problem is that the triggers stuff themselves leaving no food of any kind behind. The look like floating footballs

So your saying that the triggers are so agressive that the tangs don't get to eat?
How big is this tank?
My tang doesn't really like nori or seaweed all that much. It goes nuts over blood worms. My tang is not fat but it's a very agressive eater. I can put algae on a vegie clip in my tank and it just sits there until I take it out and throw it away. The tang also love prime reef flakes.
I'm thinking maybe you have other issues then just the fish not able to get enough food. My tang is agressive. It will get in there and take what ever food it wants. It doesn't take no crap from the other fish.
Maybe worms or stress.

I think cloak also has a reasonable solution. Feed more algae based foods or alternate days. That way if they are eating at all then they are getting the algae that they need.

I think he's saying that the triggers just simply eat everything. I have the same problem with a Pink Tail I have in my reef. I feed him meaty foods first then put a sheet or nori in for the other fish but he goes right to it and doesn't leave much for the tangs and wrasses.
