Need help with stocking my 29 g

Hey everyone, my tank is just getting started. While there are no corals just yet there will be in the future! So with that being said what would be good tank mates for 2 ocellaris clowns, a fire shrimp, and 2 peppermint shrimp. Looking for inverts an fish. Feel free to give your experience with the fish in reefs etc.

Before the post start I am thinking I want a flame angle but not sure yet!

Thanks for the suggestions!

I would look at gobies with a pistol combo. There are some amazing gobies out there (yasha and dracula are my personal favorites) and they would do just fine in a 29g. You can look at the pygmy wrasses, they would be ok in a 29g. A basslet would also be a great choice for a 29g.

The biggest challenge you are going to face is if the clowns get aggressive which they probably will. They will make that whole tank their territory if/when they start spawning or get into the spawning mood. They could easily beat up any fish on the list above.

Invert wise you look pretty good, there are a ton of small inverts you can put in there but i would just worry about the fire shrimp eating the smaller ones. They do have little claws and they can use them.

A candy cane pistol shrimp with a goby would be a great choice. Mine gave me hours of enjoyment back in the day.

Thanks! I like Gobys and saw one I liked at my LFS but It couldn't be identified.. It was orange with blue spots and was making a cave, also could I have a 6 lined wrasse, or a possum wrasse?

Your clownfish are going to be aggressive. A possum wrasse will be intimidated, a sixline is also very aggressive.

I posted what would be a really good choice. A candy cane pistol and goby combo. They are small and stay at the bottom. Also really fun to watch.

See the goby right at the burrow? They don't go out a whole lot further than that. Maybe an inch or two away from it. The candy canes almost have no eyesight so stay closer to the burrow than that. In fact, the shrimp will stay in contact with the goby's fins while it's near the entrance so the goby can alert it to danger.

Yes I like that idea! I would like to have fish that venture out and swim in the rocks but it sounds like the clowns are going to be a problem. What can I do? Ditch the clowns? Or are there other fish ?
