Need help with sump

Should I use a 50g (36x18x18) with submersible pump or 30g(30x15x15) with external pump? (dont have room for the 50g with external pump inside stand)
Will be used on120g full reef.

well my first pick would be the 50 gallon because of extra water volume. As far as heat adding to the tank, submersible will add a little more than an external fan cooled pump.

Really its a toss up, but I would go bigger. You can also have more room for a refugium in the 50gal.
