Need Help with Zeovit Tank - URGENT

Hello,
I am starting a 100G Zeovit tank and have run into a snag and could use some advice. I posted on the Zeovit forum but have not yet gotten a response so thought I would try here.

I plan to follow the Zeovit 14 day cycle. So I filled my tank with water, heated the water and then added salt. I ran the tank for a few days and ordered my Live Rock from Tampa Bay Saltwater. (He is great to deal with BTW. Highly recommended! And the Walt Smith 2.1 Rock looks great!). Anyway, I put the rock in my tank last night and then started up my Vibe Zeovit reactor and discovered that it is leaking. It was DIY so it is totally my fault. Anyway, it is now going to take me about a week to repair the reactor so I can get it up and running. So, question is...

What should I do while I am waiting to repair the reactor? Right now I have a 100G tank with fresh live rock and a skimmer. Do I just leave it that way for a week? Or would I be better off running some Zeovit stones in a regular BRS reactor for a week? I am worried about my Live rock. Do I need to feed it if I am not starting the Zeovit program?

Thanks for your suggestions!

Just leave it running without the zeolites. But you could add some zeobak to increase the bacteria flora in the LR. Read instructions on the bottle for dosage.

You could run the zeolites in any reactor. Just measure the flow on the output of the reactor, to make sure you are not putting too much flow through the zeolites. Too much flow through the them is bad news. It's a critical point that many zeovit users ignore at their peril!

Thank you both for your comments. The reactor I have available will not hold a full liter of stones so if I run say 2/3 a liter should I cut back on the dosing or should I dose the same amount for my net water? My net water is 95 gallons.

I would run this reactor for one week and then I would switch out to my new reactor and run the full liter of stones. I am just thinking that the stones and dosing would be helpful now to start removing ammonia.

Thanks.
