Alright,
I'm just scratching my head over this one. Some of my zoas are not opening up and I can't figure out why. I checked all my levels and there is nothing wrong. Ammonia=0, Nitrite=0, Phosphate=0, Nitrate=0, PH 8.4.
I thought maybe the light bulbs so I bought new bulbs for my tank and still they won't open up. The same goes for my GSP.

Is there anyone out there with a suggestion?

Thanks.

Before they closed up on you, was anything, I mean anything changed in or near the tank? Did you have a bad rainfall?

Also, take and post a picture. It could be a simple problem that someone here can spot right away. Take multiple pics and post the best one.

Just got home from birthday parties with the kids. I will take some pics and post tomorrow. I really can't tell what my salinity is because my hydrometer broke last week. I'm in the process of picking up a refractometer tomorrow. I will be able to post salinity tomorrow.

check to see if there are any critters irritating your polyps. It could be any number of things...check zoaid.com's gallery on polyp irritators and check your colony
