Need help!

Bought some zoanthids and acclimated them last night like I was supposed to, now today they still are closed! I need help on how to save/open them. My tank has LED's and salinity is good. Should I try target feeding them?! need help asap!

ok because they do seem like they are healthy because I can see the polyps poking out and see some color, but than sometimes they would go back in, but im guessing that it is a good sign?

they are working themselves out.
They may poke out a little more each time until they are happy.

\don't panic though zoas are quite hearty , but if you keep messin with them they may stay closed. let them do their thing

alright thank you, do you think it is a good idea to keep target feeding them everyday until they open? I have ZooPlanktos-L, it is a liquid that is basically food for the Zoanthids.

I would not be feeding them. If they are closed up, you are probably just adding nutrients to the water and they are not eating. Patience is best, and I second the another replies. I've had zoas/palys that took as much as 2 weeks to finally open (I thought I was going to lose them but they a awesome now.

Ok one other question, since they are closed is it a good idea to leave the LED daytime/white lights on 24/7 or do you think I should just keep the moonlight/blue lights on at night and during the day the daytime ones? Im not sure the different type of lighting will help them out and what to keep on or off?

Yeah but should keep the daytime/white lights on 24/7 so maybe that will help out the zoas open up? Or at night time would I be able to switch to the moonlight/blue lights?

Just leave them alone until they open.
We shouldn't feed the polyps if they are closed, like said before.
There is no need to leave the lights on 24/7. Actually that is detrimental to all the organisms in the system.
Don't worry about moon light. That won't make them open either.

I have to say that we all assume your tank has the proper set up and is ready to receive the zoas. I also assume there is no predators nor any infection going on.
Then relax...

Pics?

Ya this.
give them time. Leave things as they would be on a normal day and let them settle in. Zoas often close up for days at a time this doesn't hurt them

don't worry they should open in time. I recently took out a frag of 15x "designer" (expensive) zoas and they were closed up the last 3 days. Tonight when I got home from work I saw they they were slowly starting to show them selves again. sometimes it takes a week, but they open when they are ready.
