!Need Help!

So I've been trying to get this skimmer to work and so far no luck Take a look for yourselves at the pics and vid. It seems to work with a pump, But I think I need a smaller pump so water won't go over the rim. But don't see any bubbles being made, so do I need a specific pump?

Pump in the vid is 1200 maxi jet.

The skimmer says "U.S. Aquarium" small text says "leading the world in aquatic technology"
Please help me figure out how to get this skimmer to work!

Hang on skimmer and you need a skimmer pump (needlewheel type impeller,etc...) w/venturi..

Is there more tube/pipe on the inside from that inlet/outlet connections? Something to go down towards the bottom

There needs be an air intake tube for the pump. I might be missing it, but you dont seem to have an air intake tube for the pump in the video.

+mcgryver The only thing inside the Skimmer are blue Bio Balls. If you look at the picture, you can see that half the skimmer is filled with something. (Bio balls) And the other half is empty.

this is an example to show OP how these kind of skimmers use the air-tube from the pump, of course its a different skimmer---same design. some people

There must be some short of air intake for the skimmer. Otherwise it cannot mix air and water to form bubbles. So you absolutely need an air intake or it wont work.

Silencer on the air intake is for the skimmer to not make too much noise

Haze? but you wrote your post at 6:20 not 4:20, maybe a time zone difference.
But, does anybody know what time it is?

It's always 4:20 in front of my tank......
