IM looking to get my 40 breeder drilled sometime soon. Im going on vacation in about 3 weeks and im not extremly pleased with my overflow. Would anyone be willing to help drill the tank 1in hole. I would pay money for someone to help me do this.

the tank if full but im goingn to empty it before it is drilled, yeah a 1in bulkhead, im using 1in pvc, not sure if bulkhead is different but i want a 1in hole for 1in pvc.

i dont have a bit or anything to cut with not tool or anything, so i was wondering if i could pay someone with one to cut it for me.

You want an overflow box to go with that too? I came across an old style Oceanic one that I ripped out of a cracked tank... yours if you want it! I'll even glue it in for you once Tom is finished with the drilling....

oh ihave an overflow now that im going to cut, but i ned the tools to get it drilled, for a 1in hole, not sure bulkhead i gotta look that up now but if anyone has one to drill a 1 in hole they can bring tomorrow my friend is driving up mr pink floyd and i can pay you there,
Yeah sure ill take the overflow if it happens tomorrow

Yeah i saw above, but is he saying he has the tools or i have to have them and bring cuz i dont have, and i need to know if it would be a 1in hole not bulkhead cuz those are different sizes i think

I'm confused, do you want to buy a drill bit or do you want to have your tank drilled? If you want it drilled, bring it to the meeting and I'll do it there. I have the proper sized 1 3/4 bit.

Typically you will need a 1 3/4"- 1 7/8" hole for a 1" bulkhead depending on the bulkhead. I believe Tom has the bit for the size hole you need... but he needs you to bring the tank with you. I hope I am interpretting this correctly...

Sounds right to me... :bum:

sorry for confusion i want it drilled to fit a 1in hole, bulkhead not sure sizes all i know is im putting 1in like pvc pipe in so whatever bulkhead size is needed i need , not to smart with all this so unclear 1 3/4 bulkhead if inch or i dunno i just need a hole that will fit a 1in pvc pipe
im kinda like stupid with this stuff and confusing

i think what you are saying is what i need, so ill do that tomorrow. I have a Mag 7 in the sump, and i need to go to home depot to get pipes or something to bring it down

you can get a 1" bulkhead at Exotic superpet on Silver Lane in East Hartford they usually have them in stock.
