I have a brain corel - moon, and it is starting to wither on the edges... I have checked every level I possibly can, and even had the levels checked my my local salt water guru....

HOW CAN I SAVE MY BRAIN CORAL.

I have purchaced a new tank with great lighting.... it is an odessy 20g nano tank with the dual 35 day and 2 moon light upgrade.

can you describe what the coral looks like in detail and where it is in the tank and how long has it been since it looked its best.

you have a bacteria infection that usually occurs at a injury site and sometimes advances to the entire coral.blow off the jelly and i would do that out of the tank cause it spreads to unaffected corals.use a turkey baster.put the coral in a area that gets good random flow.do 25 percent minium water change.that may help,no guarentee.seems like when this happens if you give the coral perfect conditions it can recover. i have gotten sick corals from LFS and saved them by putting them in a spot with strong random flow and perfect parameters.how long have you had the coral

2 blue moon lighting and compact floresance 2 36 watt 50/50,
Cube 20.
on a 20 galon nano... NEW tank.... 2 weeks to establish the tank, because i moved from a 10 gallon to a 20 gallon, all my levels are stable and everything else is flurishing but the brain coral

I have had the coral for about 2 weeks.... SO that means it could have started when I switched tanks. I have a feather duster on the brain coral that I do not want to lose.... will any of this affect it?

it usually occurs at a injury site that spreads upward.protozoans or bacteria is what causes it.blow off with turkey baster and put in place where it gets strong random flow.thats all you can do

THank you for the information.... I will do this and see what happens.... if you have any more please don't hesitate to send it my way...

THanks

well, I have to say that I am happy with the results..... now you can see the tentacles coming out of the brain coral.... Thank you all for the help... I am currently aquiring a digi cam so I can take a picture of the tank and show what little I do have but also to get some advice on what else I can put in it.....
Again thanks alot for the help.... I really appreciate it.
