i have two colony of zoos that are not fully opening. this has started last week and i did a fw dip and now some are opening back up but some are still close and has been like a week already. i check for nudi and eggs but did not see any. the only thing that i notice on some of the zoos that are not opening is a brownish color thing at the root of the zoos. it look like fungus or some sort. sorry but no camera for pics.

do you have them in a low flow area? Where do you have them as far as depth? You may want to take a turkey blaster and move a little water across them.

Are they melting away or just staying closed. It does sound like you have a fungus/infection. If they have been there for 6months and havn't had an issue I would guess they are sick. I guess the ? is do you take them out again and dip in lugals and DI or do you leave them alone? I hope it works out for you and good luck!!
some of the zoos are dying off and some are opening up. i see no sign of nudi or eggs. today i came home and saw like a white film on the zoos that are not opening up i try to pick at the zoos see if it moved but no movement at all. i blast it with a turkey blaster and the whitish clear film is still there. will try the lugal when i get to the fish store to buy some. the bad thing is that it on my main colony of safecracker. hopefully i get rid of this thing.
