Can anyone tell me what that is? That is the best picture I can get at the moment.

Is it a nudi?

Thats what I thought, Ive never had one before. I havent seen any issues with any of my zoa's

I checked melev's id page and it kinda looks like it, but hard to say.

How do I kill it?

YEah, it is I keep having a little battle of them pests. I always look. I tend to burn them off. But I keep finding new ones every few weeks or I glue over them.

what about a FW dip?

Havent gotten any new zoa's lately. Thats the thing, Ive seen some closed up as of lately. Dont know if its because of it or not.

my wife spotted it, she took it out it was on top of a frag and just flicked it off into some water.

if you picked up some new zoas recently, they probably hitchhiked.... One way you can get rid of them is picking them off with tweezers. Another way is by dipping them in a FW+ iodine solution. There's a product out there called Lugols, I haven't used personally, is also suppose to do the trick.

I forgot who, but someone one on the forum picked up a wrasse to take care of their pest problem. I don't recall how that went.

What you have to worry about are eggs. I don't know of any solutions for that yet...

I hope that helps. Good luck

edit* the link is a good source of info. I'm still skeptical about dipping the zoos in hot water. Let me know it goes.

It doesnt even have to be that recent, alls it takes is one and it can easily go unnoticed for months especially if your not really looking for them.

I pulled out one big on about a 1/4 inch and 3 smaller ones. 2 of witch were very very small.

This sucks!!!:(:(:(:(

If your able to do RC or google searches for MuchoReef, he is the king of zooanthids. He has a freshwater dip recommendation and gives steps for erradication. Good luck.
