Ok. It's in a low flow/low light area of my tank. Not going to mess with it until it recovers. I just wanted to make sure. My first GSP. Thanks.

green star polyps that are stressed out they should recover though. good luck

They like lots of indirect flow so if they don't open in the next few days I'd try moving them. Good luck!

Also just be patient. If I move mine from one tank to another, both with halide lights, they can stay closed for up to a week before a few START to even open. Once a few start opening, the rest should follow in a day or two more.

+1 any time I irritate my gsp they close up for several days before they extend even a few wimpy polyps.

My GSP was a rescue because it had been shipped with barely any water. It stayed closed for nearly two weeks in my tank until one polyp opened up. Took about a week for the others to open but they did great afterwards, even when my hermits knocked over the rock they were sitting on.
