i am looking for an id on this coral.i haven't the slightest clue what it is.

It looks a little like a yongei to me but I don't have any books in front of me so I could be wrong. GL

Its not a yongei, as it doesn't have flaring lower lips for corallite opening. But is it close. I am leaning towards A. verweyi.

atomikk that looks very very close.other than color.which i am sure could be affected by lighting and other params.

Yeah i think it has the closest resemblance to the A. verweyi

Most species come in a variety of colours, the taxonomy id is mainly based on skeletal & corallite stuctures & shapes.
