macro algae.. can't remember the specific name though.... halymenia maybe?

have a look at Chucks Addiction ..they may have specific name for you :lol2:

I had this grow out of nowhere one time... loved it!!! also had another red macro that grew. I was sooo excited to have a "different" kind of algae. I then made the dumb choice to buy some turbos... they ate it within minutes!! smh

It is a red algae & appears to be a species of Scinaia, which is common in the Indo-Pacific and Mediterranean. Is your rock local or imported?
