I have the same in my overflow. I thought it was just green hair algae (GHA)

That is not GHA, I would like was said just scoop it out weekly, I don't see any need for worry over it by any means. I've got some of that among others growing in my sump. I do run my sump lights 24/7 and it seems to be keeping all algae out of my DT.
When you do take it out watch to see if it's holding any pods. Get a container fill with tank water and swish it around in the water. Any pods in it will come out into the water and you can put them back into your tank
