Need ideas for small host for pink skunk

I am looking for some ideas for a host for a pink skunk clown. I would prefer it it stayed on the smaller side. I'm open to anemone as well as coral or whatever.

I do plan on buying a rose bubble tip since the place I deal with is doing 50% off any clown with purchase of rbta. So I plan on getting a midnight or domino ocellaris to make the 50% off worth it. Lol. I am also thinking of getting another ocellaris that will hopefully pair with the midnight.

Anyway the mrs. wants a pink skunk and it sounds like skunk and ocellaris shouldn't be a problem in the same tank. Rbta can get big (which I'm hoping the midnight will host), but I do want the skunk to have a host. I just don't want to give up a whole lot of space that I could use for coral.

Also, would it be better to either get 1 skunk and 1 ocellaris, or 2 of each. Will 2 ocellaris be more likely to pick on 1 skunk?

It's a 75 gal tank.

actually if you get a pair of ocy's and also have the skunk then there will be a problem, please stick to 2 clowns only or you will end up with 2 clowns in the end most likely.

Skunks are the coolest clowns anyway. Just get two of them and call it a day. Also keeps the Mrs happy!

Haha, yeah true enough. I'm planning on changing my 125 gal to saltwater when my stingray pups move to the 340 gal. I guess then I can have my midnight. Lol.

Will that RBTA be a good host for the skunks?

for the best chance of them not fighting then yes, get 2 of the same type. if you want both skunks and ocy's to keep you both happy I suggest setting up another 20 gal tank for the other pair of clowns.

skunks in the wild do not go into BTA's but thats not to say it won't happen in an aquarium.

sebae's and carpet anemones are skunks natural host anemones

sebaes aren't hard to care for... THEY ARE HARD TO TAKE CARE OF! I have gone through 4 in the past two years... all in different tanks. I would recommend a bubble tip for a beginner as sebaes tend to be very picky.

On a side note, i have had 3 pairs of skunk clowns and they have all hosted bubble tips. My current pair are hosting a green bubble tip.

That's kind of what I came to reading up on them. I am a little worried about a anemone hurting or being hurt by my corals. What's the best non-nem host for pink skunks? If there is one. Or would a bta be the best choice and be better for the clowns?

bta would be the best. Usually you can find them for 30-40 bucks. if you try to get them to host another coral its like a 20 percent chance it will host it.

We had a skunk in store that went into a Heliofungia. They do grow pretty big though.

Btw if you keep two Clowns of different species, they can pair up, in which case they'll get along fine. So it's possible to just have a Midnight and a Skunk. I've never actually heard of a Skunk + Occy hybrid though, but that doesn't mean that it is impossible. Plus, they only have to pair up. :P Even if they can't hybridize, they can still live a peaceful life together. :D
