Ok guys i just set up my 30 gallon and im about to go pick up some LR that a guy local is selling me straight out of his tank he has "more than enough" so i need know how much live rock i should have in my tank?

I have heard 1 lb per gallon and i have heard 2 lbs per gallon. also the LFS said at least 25 lbs.

SO i come here for the final answer haha I am leaving as soon as i get an answer so quickness is GREATLY appreciated!!!

I use 1.5 to 2 pounds per gallon. I would go with 45-60 pounds. That should give a good bacteria colony.

Ditto, and if it's straight from another tank, don't 'cure' it. Just put it in, add your sand, and wait for a very brief cycle.
