need info on cabbage coral

Saw a photo of 'cabbage' coral and wanted some more info on it, i.e. lighting, feeding, costs, colors, and any experiences you have had.

It seems there are several different species...I am interested in the leather or soft coral variety, might be lobophytum, not the SPS variety -might be merulina. I am looking for a relatively easy species to keep, medium lighting (T5 and T6 and PC), with some interesting shape and texture to it.

thanks!

I believe you are talking about one of many types of Sinularia leather, or cabbage leather.

They are extremely hardy, much like most leathers, and are fine under a wide range of lighting intensity and water flow. Ussually seen in Pink or rarely Green.

They don't need to be feed, but will filter feed phyto and zooplanktons if offered.

They'll be fine under T5 or T6 HO, as well as PC, VHO or Halide.
