I have the tank ordered, will be here circa march 19th. I have the skimmer. Need lights, then I can start sourcing the inside stuff.
I'm hoping for a decent 4' long led fixture, or 2 led boxes.
This is a budget build, I don't expect to get stuff for free, but I'm footing the bill for this and I still have to pay child support, LOL. I'm already eating soup for lunch to help pay for it.
Anyone have anything good that will support most LPS and some easier SPS? I want to showcase diversity, with softies, lps, and sps. I also want to showcase symbiotic relationships, with a anemone / clown, and a snapping shrimp / goby. I welcome any ideas.
Near future, I'll also be building a visibly refugium, with all the normal chambers for easy viewing. I'll need seed cultures of chaeto, mysid shrimp, copepods, etc...
This is for AP biology in a Montessori school, 8th grade.
I'll be doing a build log, then monthly growth picture thread. The kids will be fragging, and as frags become available I'll keep anyone who helped out in mind for first dibs. If anyone wants to help as a sponsor, there will be a special thanks placard next to the tank for viewing.
