Need male for True Perc Female

Unfortunately, my true perc male jumped last night to his demise. I am wondering what are successful ways to introduce a new male to her...

Thanks

I have had the pair since February. I do not know how long they were a pair. By about the end of January, I will be finishing the move to a 75 gallon from a 28 gallon.

Here are a couple recent threads dealing with the same/similar situations.

When I created my pair I had had the female for 2.5 years and she was over 3inches long. I got a small, about 1inch, male, quarantined him and when I was ready to introduce them to each other I put her in a critter keeper in the quarantine tank with him, and released her at feeding time the next day, ready to catch her if needed. She swam out, he swam to her side, and they were paired up in about 10seconds.

In my case he was so much smaller than her that there was no doubt who was going to be the boss, and she didnt view him to be any kind of threat.

Edit-->
In your case, since you are planning to change tanks soon anyway, I would get a small percula, quarantine it, then move both to the new tank at the same time, that way neither will have an established territory to defend.

I'd agree with Apercula. Introduce both clowns into the 75 at the same time. Hope it works out well for you!
