Need random cheap aquarium parts to help a friend get into the Hobby

I have a friend at work that really wants to get into the hobby. He just got a 45 gal aquarium from an uncle but all it has is a air pump with bubbler. Obviously used as a freshwater tank. To get him started i thought to post on here to see if anyone has some stuff they'd like to possibly donate or sell for cheap. Basically looking for an aquaclear 70 or similar (will not have a sump, too complicated for him at this point) maybe a korallia or two, and some kind of lighting. Most likely will not keeping coral at the moment, just some simple fish like goby, clowns, firefish, ect. Let me know if you guys have anything available.

With time if he likes it i know he will eventually upgrade to a RR tank, coral etc...but to start i thought it best for him to start small.

I have a $70 heater for sale for $25, I also have pumps, wave makers and a ton of misc things for sale.

if you decide to sump it i have a spare 10 gallon that should do nicely

I would have him ask his uncle if he ever used medication in the tank. Most freshwater owners medicate their tanks with copper or copper based meds and the residue stays behind in the tank causing problems later on.

If he decides to do sump I have overflow and return pump combo thati bought off of eBay for $125 that I would sell for $50.
