Hello all.

I have had my 40 gallon set up for about 3.5 months now and wanted to get a fish or two. The problem is I know very little about marine fish temperment/diet/etc... Thus here I am seeking advice from those with more knowledge.

The current inhabitants are TBS hitchiking corals, a bunch of snails, hermits, porcelain crabs, cucumbers, pepermint shrimp, and a bunch of brittle stars. I want to continue to keep it a mixed reef.

There is a large amount of live rock and moderate flow throughout.

The one problem though is that I am trying to "grow" my pod population atm. I got a ton of them right now, but I really want the population to be so large that it can sustain a mandarin. Are there fish that I can add that wont put a huge dent in my pod growth?

Thanks all,
Jesse

I have learned A LOT over the years from Live Aquaria for fish. They have each fish listed and their temperament, needs, level of degree, compatibility chart, etc. You can research what you like and then see if they are compatible with what you have and want. ;)

Yeah, we're only an hour apart. :) Forecast here says 85 today and 94 Friday! Not making me feel good with the tanks and me leaving for a couple days. Thankfully, I'll be back on Friday.

Have fun checking out your dream fish! :D
