Need recommendation for submersible pumps

Ineed some advice on a 1200 gph submersible pump with moderate heat transfer. I have had Eheims, Mags and Viaaqua pumps and like them all but I need to expand my horizon since I need a new More powerful pump.

I need a recommendation on good submersible pump for my new 120 gallon. The tank has 2 overflows rated at 600 gph each so I expect 1200 gph approx into my sump. In ADDITION to sending water through the 2 returns I plan to draw water from the sump via a SCWD using a Viaqua 2600 rated at 740 gph. This means I will have 4 returns (2 with the overflows and 2 with the SCWD) using the sump water.

So I figured I need approx 1200 gph submersible to make allowances for head loss pressure etc.

Please let me know your thoughts

Thanks

1200 GPH of actual flow is going to be too much for your drains. First snail, or debris that partially blocks a drain would mean an overflow.

Based on all the rave reviews I don't think you are going to beat an eheim for a submersable pump.

It could handle 1200 gph but you wount want that much anyways. Im going to be using an eheim 1262 as my return for my 125, i think it will be plenty. HAve your sump return at a lower flow, and your closed loop higher.

If the drains are rated at 1200 gph and something partially blocks one slowing it down to a total drain capacity of 1100 gph where do you think the other 100gph will go? Leave yourself some room for things like this.

I have a 210g AGA with dual megaflows. I have all 4 bulkheads plumbed as drains just incase something like this were to happen. I still only run about 1200gph actual flow.
