need repair info

I've had a stream 6100 for about 10 months now, but after a power outage last week it got harder and harder to restart after each feeding (push-button stoppage) and last night finally quit and would not restart. I took it apart but could not get the shaft out and didn't see any obvious corrective action.

Does anyone know the warrenty status on this pump, and how can I return it for repairs?

thanks,
David

It is siezed with lime which is not really warranty as preventitive cleaning would have remedied this. I will need to have the pump sent back and I will have to drill out the drive unit and replace it, I'll do it for $20- it's a $27 part and I won't charge shipping.

It depends on the Calcium and KH load, if you have very high levels and frequent precipitations as often as every two months wouldn't be too much, the same applies when fine sand is suspended. Under more normal conditions with NSW levels of say 8-10KH and 380-400 Ca 6 months would be the norm. Just use vinegar and water and a small brush to clean all the parts.

It is very similar, just pull on the propeller and it will come out and page 28 describes a basic cleaning and the pages from 28- 40 detail a complete dissassembly. I generally advise against removing the prop from the shaft unless absolutely necessary as it is to easy to cross thread or snap the screw.
