Need Some Advice

I will be going to Orlando in Nov for business trip. Would like to visit Key West and do some snorkeling. Some people told me it's not worth the 8 hrs drive to Key West from Orlando. Is there any good spots for snorkeling closer to Orlando or Miami?

West Palm Beach has some really great diving, but you'll have to get certified. You can snorkel around the bridge pilings and actually see some cool stuff, but I wouldn't go out of my way just for snorkeling.

How about at pennekamp state park in Key largo? So, early Nov is bad timing to go to the keys?

Not sure about the timing but I loved diving the Pennekamp Reef park. It was years ago but I was suitably impressed with the diving. We did several wreck dives and saw a lot of fish on all the dives.

Ooops, I just reread and realized you were asking about SNORKELING. I am not sure about the snorkeling there, we were quite deep at the spots that we were diving, so the snorkeling there wouldn't have been doable.
