Need some help

Well, i have a 12UK gallon tank and i was going to do a FO tank. Not a FOWLR, I just want a fish only tank.

How would i go about this,
I have a tank, heater, lid and light, a fuval3 plus internal pump and a stand. In the new year i will be getting a 24 nano cube.

you have all you need on hand. maybe some carbon to polish the water. now decide if you want it bear bottom or not. lots of opinions there but you need to choose.
also, maybe some decor of your choice. either realistic looking or a scene of some-sort

Should i get sand, salt, hydrometer, rock decorations. Then i may add a few KG of LR over a period of a few weeks to spread the cost. Does this sould good anyone?

IMO
get fine grain sand
salt??? no brainer there. what brand.... you choose. buy bulk. it saves $$.
no hydrometer. get a refractometer.. you choose brand.
2 thermometers digital. 1 for tank other for your make up water.
buy a 20gal trash can from rubbermaid for water storage
get some clean containers for water transport if you dont have a RO/DI.
get water from your LFS with the containers. fill your trash can.
get another small pump and heater for make up water. heat to tank temp and mix salt with pump in container
get test kits. you choose brand
do not:.....................
add fish
corals
anenome's
chemicals
do....
read all that you can.
find a system you like
ask questions to the builder about his/her system.

the only thing that happens quickly in saltwater is death!
