Give me your wackiest, sanest, far fetched, normal ideas you have for fish for a 55 gallon reef.

Lighting will be heavy, 2x 250 watt Metal Halide Fixtures
Skimmer,
About 40lb of live rock in a 2 island formation, lots of swimming room with a deep sand bed.

So please, give me whatever you would have in your aquarium if you were setting one up.

I would really like something colorful, and "showy" if that makes sense.

Thanks

You can't go wrong with a pair of false percula clowns no matter what you do. I have good luck with gobies, blennies and dartfish, but none of them are showy though they are colorful. Its hard to find showy in a 55. You are probably too small for tangs.

Im redoing my 60 gallon, and my proposed stock list is

A pair of golden striped maroons (currently in quarantine)
A pair of flameback angels
Sixline wrasse
Royal gramma

For inverts i'm planning a few long tentacled anemones, and crocea/maxima clams for the rockwork

No one can really tell you for sure, dwarf angels in a reef is a gamble. I have had flame angels leave soft corals, zoas, euphyllia alone, but attack clams. Argi and flamebacks were the safest IME
