We have had out LTA for less than a week, now it's shrivled up and this thick white stuff is all over it!! What is it?? He's yet to plant his foot anywhere. We have coral not sand please help!!!
Well I am afraid that LTA's really do need sand to help them feel safe and plant themselves. I had a LTA that during the day traveled to plant itself in rocks for a couple hours but then planted in the sand for the other 18 hours. Crushed coral substrate is too rough and could rip or tear the foot which would be a BAD thing. How long has it been shriveled? And the white stuff doesn't sound good at all. Do you have pics that may help some of the experts on this sight help you.
how long has your tank been setup (stable)? any water params worth mentioning? and please dont post "all normal water params" like everyone else does...when something is wrong in the tank I never believe people who post that lol
it all starts and ends with the water
what else is in the tank? what kind of lights are you running? what kind of lights was it under previously?
